Your opponents are really going to feel the pain of losing with the Discraft Sting, a slightly understable fairway driver. This disc is going to be very controllable for seasoned players and a great disc for fairly new disc golfers as well.

The Sting is an excellent beginner disc as an understable fairway driver. This disc was my first driver. After learning to feel comfortable with the thicker lip of fairway drivers, I had success throwing the sting with both forehands and backhands. With a backhand release, the Sting flies very true to it's flight numbers with early flight turn, followed by the slightest fade at the end. The disc can be released hyzer and trusted to flip up.With a forehand release, initially the disc can be released flat or hyzer, but I found that as the disc started to wear that I needed to release on a larger hyzer angle to get the correct flight out of it. Too much torque can show some flippy tendencies of the disc, but this is not a huge surprise from an understable fairway driver. I still recommend this disc to beginners that are comfortable with their mid range game and looking to work with higher speed discs.
